Killeen Elite Concrete is a concrete contractor in Killeen, TX with more than 20 years of work behind it, all of it on Central Texas ground and through Central Texas summers. We pour driveways, patios, slabs, sidewalks and commercial flatwork, and we repair, level and resurface the concrete that has already failed.
Twenty years in one place is worth something specific in this trade. It means we have gone back to slabs we placed a decade ago and seen what the ground did to them, which is the only feedback loop in concrete work that tells you anything reliable. It is also why our quotes start with what a slab will sit on rather than with a rate per square foot.
Our Approach

We find out what your slab will sit on before we quote it. In this city high plasticity clay sits over shallow limestone and the rock can be anywhere from nine to thirty inches down, so the excavation is frequently the largest part of the job. Where limestone or a caliche hardpan is a foot down, we say so before you sign rather than writing a thin number and doubling it halfway through the dig.
The rest follows from the same principle, which is that the parts nobody can see afterward are the parts that decide how long the work lasts. We lay control joints out to published spacing rules rather than by eye, because on ground that moves this much the joint pattern decides where a slab will crack. We schedule hot weather pours against the discharge clock rather than the calendar, since once it is above 90 degrees the truck has 45 minutes from batch to placement. We pull the flatwork permit ourselves, and we will tell you up front that the city doubles the fee when work starts before the permit is issued.
We hold a City of Killeen construction registration and carry the general liability coverage the city requires, and we will tell you plainly that Texas issues no state license for concrete work at all, so anyone claiming one is claiming something that does not exist. Where a driveway approach sits in city right of way we handle it, including the state permit when a property fronts a state road. When a settled slab could be lifted two different ways, we price both honestly against simply replacing it, instead of selling whichever one we happen to own the equipment for.
What We Do
New concrete work covers driveways, patios, slabs and pads, sidewalks and walkways, and retaining walls, along with decorative and stamped finishes where a surface is meant to be looked at as well as walked on. On existing concrete we do repair, leveling and resurfacing, which between them solve most of what goes wrong here without a tear-out. On the commercial side we handle parking, approaches, curb and gutter, dumpster pads, dock aprons and the accessibility work this city stacks onto a single sidewalk pour, including the ramps Killeen calls ambulatory ramps.
We also work with landlords and property managers on turnover repairs around Fort Hood, where a driveway or a walk has to be safe and presentable between tenants and there is a date attached. Tell us what you are trying to achieve and we will look at the ground, price the options honestly against each other, and put it in writing. Estimates are free.
